Diplomatic Relations of the Principality of Kaharagia

The Principality of Kaharagia, as a sovereign entity under international law, actively engages in diplomatic endeavours. While our nascent and compact stature often means we’re yet to gain widespread recognition, our diplomatic vision remains clear and unwavering.

Recognition Policy

Kaharagia acknowledges all United Nations member states except for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Beyond the UN membership, nations seeking our recognition must fulfil the criteria outlined in Article 1, Sections a, c, and d of the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States. Additionally, such nations should be capable of maintaining a permanent delegation at the Prince of Kaharagia’s court and reciprocally hosting a Kaharagian representative delegation.

Entities Recognized by Kaharagia
  • All United Nations member states (excluding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
  • Republic of Abkhazia
  • Republic of Artsakh
  • The Holy See
  • State of Palestine
  • Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
  • Republic of South Ossetia
  • Republic of Somaliland
  • Sovereign Military Order of Malta
Entities Not Recognized by Kaharagia
  • Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic – Due to its aspirations to secede from a constitutional monarchy, it contradicts our core principle of preserving monarchies.
  • The Islamic republican government of Iran
  • The republican government in Nepal – Due to the illegitimacy of the abolition of the Nepalese Monarchy.
  • Further, Catalan, Basque, or Scottish independence movements would not be recognized if they did not include a monarch as their constitutional head of state.
