The Principality of Kaharagia solemnly expresses its deep concern and condemnation regarding the recent military actions in the Middle East that have escalated regional tensions and led to the tragic loss of life.
1. The Principality firmly condemns the drone attack against U.S. forces in Jordan on 28 January 2024, which led to the death of three U.S. service members. This act of aggression threatens international peace and regional stability.
2. In response to the United States’ retaliatory strikes in Iraq and Syria on 3 February 2024, resulting in nearly 40 casualties, the Principality of Kaharagia advocates for restraint and respect for national sovereignty. We emphasise the importance of seeking peaceful resolutions rather than perpetuating a cycle of violence.
3. Concerning the U.S. strikes against Houthi anti-ship cruise missiles on 3 February 2024, while we recognise the right to self-defence, the Principality calls for adherence to international norms and cautions against actions that may further escalate hostilities.
4. Regarding the Islamic Republican Government’s condemnation of the U.S. air strikes as violations of Iraqi and Syrian sovereignty, the Principality of Kaharagia, while not recognising this government as legitimate, acknowledges their concern over territorial integrity. We urge all parties to respect the sovereignty of nations and to address conflicts through peaceful and diplomatic channels.
In these challenging times, the Principality of Kaharagia calls upon people of all faiths around the world to join us in prayer for peace in the Middle East. May our collective prayers and efforts lead to a harmonious resolution and bring lasting peace to the region.
The Principality of Kaharagia reiterates its commitment to the principles of international law, peace, and diplomacy. We call on all involved parties to engage in constructive dialogue and to seek resolutions that promote regional stability and world peace. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during these trying times.
The Principality remains dedicated to working with the international community in fostering stability, peace, and security in the Middle East and across the globe.
